You're probably noticing my awkwardly large head.
And if you hadn't, you can't unsee it now that I've mentioned it.
I'm an ECD with an art director background. But frankly, I was never a particularly standout art director because my talent always fell pretty much right down the middle between art and copy. It wasn't until I became a creative director where I could really tap into both sides that I came into my own as a creative.
I am kind of a zealot for camraderie. I spend an unusual amount of time making sure the teams who work with me are happy. (Not completely happy or compleletly fullfilled of course or they wouldn't be in the creative department.) But I do empower people and give them a lot of rope. And I spend a small fortune on drinks after work. Because a disgruntled beaten down team leads to crap work, and a happy, motivated team leads to great work.
I like old business as much as new business. Some people live for the thrill of new business, and some people love the long game of managing and nurturing accounts. They are separate thrills but I really do like both. I know how to win new business, but I also know how to keep it.
